Aerosols: The atmosphere knows no borders
From wildfires to Saharan dust, particles transported by the atmosphere can travel great distances and connect very distant regions. These two videos, based on NASA's GEOS-CF atmospheric chemistry analysis data, show how particles from wildfires in Europe and North Africa disperse in the atmosphere, and how Saharan dust can carry phosphorus to the Amazon rainforest.
