Temperature evolution in France (1940 to 2026)
Global warming, it doesn't only mean the increase of average temperatures, but also the maximum and minimum. If the maximum daytime temperature is higher than 35 °C, we call it hot day; if the minimum nighttime temperature is not lower than 20 °C, we call it tropical night. An outdoor temperature of 20 °C, you may feel fresh, but it cannot sufficiently cool down the indoor environment with the accumulated heat during the day.

In the plot, the annual average temperature is shown in term of anomalies. The anomaly here is computed as the temperature difference between the annual average temperature of each year and the average temperautre during 1940 and 1969. The anomaly is used to demonstrate the temperautre trend compared to an average condition.
